Hansons Auctioneers are based in the heart of England in the Derbyshire countryside. Hanson's light and spacious auction showroom, is conveniently located, just off the A50 and A38 in the rural setting of the historic village of Etwall on the A516. The showroom is only two hours from London and 45 minutes from Birmingham. The auction site is some four miles south west of Derby in green pasture land.
The picturesque village of Etwall is famous for its Well dressing festival every May. The village name comes from Etewelle, meaning Eatta's water, with Eatta being a 7th century Saxon leader.
Hansons antique and collectors auctions in Middle England serve Derbyshire and its neighbouring counties of Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Wawickshire, South Yorkshire, West Midlands and Sutton Coldfield.
Hansons Auctioneers have valuation centres in all neighbouring counties listed above for clients to visit. There is no charge to have items identified and valued.

Hansons is managed by Charles Hanson who, in August 2005, established Hansons Auctioneers. Charles Hanson MRICS began his career in 1999 at Christies in London in the European Ceramics and Glass Department. Subsequent employment within fine art auction houses in Cheshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire as a general valuer provided valuable experience.
Facilities at Hansons auction centre include free parking for all cars on site. Light refreshments and lunches are available on view and sale days.
