Antique and Collectors Auction - The Marshall Collection
An important collection of antiques spanning two hundred and fifty years with a Derbyshire theme which belonged to the late Neville Marshall of Sandiacre.

Highlights in the collection include a rare pair of Derby porcelain chocolate cups on stands from the reign of George II which date to 1790 and a rare Derby porcelain cup and saucer painted with a seascape by George Robertson in 1795. Each lot is estimated to fetch in excess of £1000.

A fine collection of paintings include works by famous Derbyshire painter George Turner, with one titled ‘A view in Borrowash’. Painted in oil the painting is expected to realise in excess of £800. A watercolour of Matlock depicting Georgian figures taking a picnic from the 1820s will realise £500-700. A fine pair of paintings in oils depicting Dutch flowers are signed by an early Derby China painted John Keys in circa 1820. They are expected to sell for £1000-1500.
Elsewhere, the sale will also include a fine and rare Blue John vase from the early 19th century which is expected to sell for up to £2,500. A comprehensive collection of Royal Crown Derby Imari porcelain will also be included in the auction.
