Antique and Collectors Auction - Over 300 snuff boxes
This collection of snuff boxes, discovered in a North Derbyshire home, are set to create national and worldwide interest when they are entered in to auction on 18 March.
An extraordinary collection, there are over three hundred and fifty snuff boxes dating from the 18th century to the 1930s. The snuff boxes are in all shapes and sizes with examples in silver, tortoiseshell, brass, wood and ivory.
Many of the boxes are engraved and ornamented with an endless variety of heraldic, family, Masonic, guild or lodge devices.
