Charity Antiques valuations Lichfield Guildhall - 11am-3pm
Hansons Auctioneers are delighted to be invited by Lichfield City Council to value the public's heirlooms of antiques and collectables on Saturday 31 October at The Lichfield Guildhall between 11am-3pm.
We hope to have a busy day commented Mrs C Woods, Hansons collectors valuer, and we hope members of the public will dust down their old heirlooms and let us help identify and value them.
The public will be invited to donate a nominal sum to charities chosen by Mayor, Cllr Terry Thomas, who will be present alongside the Sheriff of Lichfield, Mr Simon Price.
The historic Guildhall will provide a perfect back drop for antique valuations, since the building in Bore Street has been central to the government of the city for over 600 years. In former times the Guildhall was not only the meeting place of the Corporation, but also at various times the court, prison, police station, theatre and fire station.
In a similar event last year a rare postcard album was unearthed, which went on to fetch over £1000 at auction, much to the surprise of the owner!
No booking is necessary, and the public are invited to turn up and meet the Hansons team, consisting of Mrs C Woods, Mr C Hanson and Mr K Bucknall.
For further details, contact Hansons on 01283 733 988, or Mrs K Durrant at Lichfield City Council on 01543 309 854.
