Antique and Collectors Auction
A good collection of silver has been consigned to the auction from a South Derbyshire Lady. Highlights will include a fine and heavy silver cake basket hallmarked for London, 1862. The sale will include a large collection of silver and jewellery, the property of a deceased estate from Edgbaston Birmingham. ‘The array of jewellery from the Estate commented Mr Hanson is quite astonishing. Highlights include some good Art Deco silver and white gold and platinum jewellery Ceramics will include a good selection of Royal Doulton figures and Beswick animals. Staffordshire porcelain from the 19th century will also be well represented. In pictures, a fine George Armfield style study of a 19th century terrier on canvas will be included whilst a good Birmingham longcase clock will be included in the auction. A unique collection of costume from the 19th century has been consigned to the auction including four full length dresses from the 1860-80 period. A collection of Bahamas gold proof coin sets will also be entered in to the auction. A collection of in excess of 50 miners lamps will be included in the auction from a Norfolk gentleman who had been born in the great mining district of Nottinghamshire. Collectors items including militaria and books will also be well represented alongside antique furniture, pictures and clocks.
